Beautiful scene. One of our favourite walks is along the Sumida River along the far bank up to Asakusa. Thank you for brightening up this incredibly drizzley and dank Monday morning.

It really was. Seeing them slowly making their way along the river was lovely. I don’t do that many river walks, but after seeing this it might be an idea to do more.

Thank you! Living here makes it that much easier of course. Plenty of time, and thus the opportunities, to see different things. That said, first time for me to see this. Made an already nice day even brighter!

I know eh? That was my reaction too. Really nice to see, and a complete surprise. Plus it was made even better by seeing them again after we’d taken very different routes to the same bridge.

That’s a good point. Wouldn’t be quite so serene then!
A good time for them now I suppose as there are less boats, but there’s actually one visible in the distance, although I’m not sure which way it was headed.
