This is a very cool shot. Great framing with the reflection. I like how her face isnโ€™t seen in the mirror. Itโ€™s kinda creepy……. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks. To be honest, the mirror was my main aim, then it was a matter of hoping I’d get someone interesting reflected in it, and in the shot. Thankfully I did. And like you say, in several ways too. Lovely when things work out that way!

I like this. It has a lot of atmosphere. I have to ask. Did she say anything to you?

Thank you. Very pleased with the result. She didn’t, no. It was just the briefest of looks, and that was it.

Very nice shot! Looks like a shot from a Japanese horror movie, you know something will happen when she gets closer but it is still unclear what… Creepy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers! Really pleased with this one. Great to hear it creates such feelings too, as they definitely weren’t what I planned, or even hoped for.

Great photograph. Quite a unique setting, and lends itself well to the black and white treatment – as does the subject.

Thank you. Yeah, it really is. I’d found it by accident a while ago, but it was really busy at the time, so went back in the hope of getting something — and ideally someone — interesting. And yes, black and white definitley seemed to work best. Much more impact all round.

Haha, that’s funny. Also would have been very true!

I really like the ‘sandaru o fukumu’ reflection

Cheers. Like I mentioned above, the reflection was what I built the photo round. Something that attracted me to the location. So very good to hear it played a big part.

Inspiring shot. The use of black & white makes this all the more powerful.

Thank you very much. Must admit, monochrome wasn’t my initial plan, but after getting the shot, it was obvious that was the way to go.
