You are one brave wildlife photographer. Did she leave footprints on you as she walked over you, or were you nimble enough to sidestep that determined looking stride 🙂
I love the safety of Tokyo. Wave an LV purse like that (even a fake one) on a London street and there is a good chance you’ll be relieved of it in short order.
Happy to say I was unusually nimble and escaped completely unscathed!
Yes, that aspect of Japan is something I always appreciate. Just like every country it has numerous problems, but crime levels are still wonderfully low.
Self-realized attraction magnet, and past master at it – I’m betting. Nice color highlights: lipstick and Hinomaru flags; blue Uniclo jacket and background blues; skin tone balance with leading darks and shadows – painterly composition by happenstance. Great capture.
Intrigued by the notion of surfing in Denver, I looked it up, and while there may be no connection, people actually _do_ surf in Colorado… on the Platte River – of all places.
Thanks a lot. Lovely when things come together like that. Part planned, part good fortune.
Hadn’t even though about the surfing aspect. Reminds me of the long river surf that’s possible in the UK. On the River Severn if I remember correctly. Catch the wave and you can surf it for miles — albeit it at a relatively gentle pace.
Converse is probably right. That’s the first thing I thought, but then Denver popped into my head, and it made me chuckle. Surfers. They’ll throw a board down anywhere they can LOL

Haha, quite possibly!

Absolutely brilliant! That’s exactly the expression she has! Although, I think that expression could stop a shuriken mid-flight.
Lee says
It could probably stop most things!

The man to her right and one respectful step behind her appears to have the same expression. Were they a couple?
Lee says
They do, don’t they? Most unusual.
Can’t say for definite, but yes, I think so.

Denver? Had me puzzled there for a while. I saw it as Converse. But the notion of inland surfing is more interesting.

Oh boy, that very red lipstick, so popular with women of a certain age in Japan 😉
Great moment you captured.

Cheers!
Yes, it’s a surprisingly typical look, isn’t it?
