Is this in a parking lot or under a bridge/train tracks? I’m not sure why but something about this reminds me of a scene from one ofPaul Verhoeven’s movies. 🙂

It’s under the Yamanote train tracks. And thanks, that’s nice to hear it echos of Verhoeven.

Great timing! An awesome combination of colors including the cab drivers gloves! 🙂

Cheers. Took a bit of time and patience, but the results were just about worth it!

So cool. One of those photos that only someone who knows Tokyo well but isn’t jaded by it could (think to) take.

Thanks, that’s very good to read. Certainly how I feel about the city, so good to know it comes through in the photo.

Brilliant. I know you’ll probably give a nod to Lady Luck, but your eye for the scene is always the prime mover.
I love the colourful, immaculate taxis in Tokyo; urban butterflies amongst to concrete and tarmac.

Thanks a lot. Nah, this one was different. I tried once before to get it, but was thwarted by other cars and passerby being in the way. So when I went back I was determined to come away with something like the shot I envisaged, and fortunately the wait wasn’t too long.

Totally agree about the taxis. Sadly the new, London black cab-like ones are becoming more prominent, but hopefully the orange and green ones will be around for a long while to come.

That’s two standout posts in a row. Bravo Lee!

I visit often because I like seeing your work – it’s interesting, instructive and compelling. But here and there a post really pops out at me. In this case two in a row that really stand out.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. Really good to hear.

Interesting, instructive and compelling are what I’d ideally like my photos to be, so your comment is a definite confidence booster. Thanks!
