This is a very powerful photograph. It is not my image of Japan.

Thank you. Just like everywhere, Japan has a lot of poverty. For some reason though it isn’t mentioned or shown very often…

The titles don’t match 新宿遊歩道公園 四季の路

Neither do the bricks on the sides

      Any other guesses?

        Yeah, right near Golden Gai.

There’s a similar path on the other side of Golden Gai. This one was taken here: https://goo.gl/maps/pW772DG7anuFWmZ5A.

This is especially timely for those of us living in the USA because it is the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend. We are celebrating our comforts in the context of poverty which continues unabated. The pandemic has made homelessness even more of a problem here than it was before.

Thanks for the reminder of the need to do more to help these people.

That’s so true. It’s incredibly easy to get caught up in your own little world and forget (or at least put out of your mind) that for some people, even the basic things in life are a nothing short of a luxury. And yeah, a situation that the pandemic has only made worse.

That hits hard. A sadly perfect match.
