Tons of torii

For the staff at Kyoto’s Fushimi Inari Shrine, the place’s torii peppered paths may well be nothing but a rather winding,

Fushimi Inari Shrine

walk to work.

However, as a spot to work out,

Fushimi Inari Shrine

walk the dog,

or simply have a wander,

it’s wonderful.

Thanks Jesslee. It’s a great place to take pictures, and I was lucky enough to be there just as the priests were knocking off for the day and heading back down the hill.

Oh, yes. It’s a wonderful place to go in Kyoto. Been there three times already. Best to get there by JR train as opposed to the Minami #5 bus from Kyoto Station, as that bus line is relatively infrequent.
