Tranquil time out #12

Wet and warm weather in central Tokyo it seems makes for murky and misty mornings around the metropolis’ western outskirts.

With amazingly no visitors or even a vending machine in sight.

It’s a place called Sawai, way out west in Ome.

On the other side of the bridge is the Sawanoi sake brewery, which has regular tours with lots of tasting opportunities at the end.

The first time I went there our guide was sporting possibly the worst wig I have ever seen, which it has to be said was far more interesting than the tour itself…

Woo! Second photo is very atmospheric. Would be good to get a similar photo when all the leaves start turning red.

I think Ken want you to go back and take that photo, Lee. Nice pictures, lots of mysterious mist. You should get a couple of friends to dress up in trenchcoats and exchange dubious packages with lots of codewordery and secret handshakes.
