Tranquil time out #3

How true it is I don’t know, but it’s often said that a bamboo forest is the safest place to be in an earthquake. Something to do with the tangle of roots perhaps.

Unfortunately the one pictured above is a good two hours from my apartment, meaning that cowering under a worryingly weedy table will have to remain my meagre method of defence.

    An a 2 hours long earthquake is not good also. What a peaceful place, at least this image inspires me calmness.

    That’s funny. Something about being in a forest of tall trees doesn’t look all that safe…

    So where is this grove?

    Bamboo stalks are quite flexible, and their limbs are pretty slender and lightweight. So in a bamboo grove there are no heavy branches to brain you and no crashing trunks to crush you if there is an earthquake.
