This is a really interesting picture. Have any idea what they’re talking about? The girl on the wall? Really like the atmosphere in this shot.

Thanks. Nah, no idea. But they were winding down on a Saturday morning for the weekend, so just a bit of high spirits I guess.

Love the gap between these hard-working men in work clothes and the cute girl in the booth. Makes for a great picture.
I hope your wife is doing good btw.

Cheers. It was definitely an interesting contrast.

She’s doing ok thanks. Or at least as good as can be expected. She has just finished chemo, which is a huge relief. So a bit of a break now before some more treatment, and then a scan…

Another marvelous scene you have captured. And wonderful textures too. I would be taking hi-res close ups of the booth door and panels to make textures for 3d models. Sometimes when we are out walking I will stop to take a photo of a piece of path or wall, especially if it is well worn and sun-lit. My wife thinks I’m mad and walks on as if she doesn’t know me.
The way the girl is looking at you is striking. As if she is tired of the people she has seen every day (at least from the beginning of the month) and is showing you her appreciation for the distraction you provide.
Interesting how the work of another photographer is central to your photograph in this instance.
Is the starburst to the left of the distant guy’s head a lens artifact or something else?

      Thank you!

I also know that feeling of a partner walking away and pretending to have no connection to the person taking photos!

Yes, the photo of the young woman worked incredibly well. Even better as the men in the photo had no idea of my presence.

Oh, and the starburst is just from a light I think. Lots of uncovered bare bulbs in Tsukiji.

Great shot! I was at Tsukiji earlier this week. You make me wish I could easily go back and try to get a picture like that! 🙂

Cheers! Good to hear (and read) that your trip was a good one.

Going back is often good, but limited visits at least make the memories more special.

I thought for a moment she was really standing there 😀

That’s funny. It really would have been something if she was!

I just love the contrast between the talking men and the other one, reading a book.
