Yokohama Bay blues?

Had Otis Redding been sitting — or indeed standing — on the dock of the bay watching the roller coaster rattle by rather than the more relaxing roll of the tide, then possibly his famous song wouldn’t have been as popular.

Yokohama Bay

Or indeed poetic.

Cheers Ian, should be fixed now. Something to do with the Otis Redding link. Quite what exactly I don’t know, but it seems to be working ok now.

Oh my Lee, that picture wonderful. What lense are you using these days? Where you using a D40X previously?

Thanks Jonathan. Yeah, I used to have a D40x, but I upgraded to a D300. Also got a few prime lenses recently which have made a huge difference. The Nikon 85mm f/1.4 especially, which I used for this picture.

Ahh excellent, I’ve got a D60 myself but it will be a while before I upgrade the body, however I’m on the hunt for some lenses! I’ll have a look at the one you mentioned, thanks Lee!

No problem Jonathan, happy to help. The 85mm 1.4 is expensive, but I was lucky enough to get it second hand at a more affordable price. Still would have been worth every penny if I’d paid full price though. Really happy with it.
