A Tokyo dog that’s a best friend and a drinking buddy

Sometimes, some scenes seem to exist for the sole purpose of simply making people smile.

He does. Could well have been a reaction to what his friend said, but doesn’t really matter — his expression is a nice, and completely unplanned little extra. Lovely when that happens!

I think I could see that sunglasses wearing dog in a smoky lounge in New York city during the era of cool jazz. And he wouldn’t be out of place at all.

Brilliant. No, he really wouldn’t. And with the addition of a hat, he’d be the, ahem, coolest cat in the joint.

Think I’d have to go for the dog. After I took the photo, the man looked up and gave me a big smile. His canine companion, however, remained charismatically aloof and utterly nonplussed.
