An old Tokyo chef at his grill

No idea how long this fella has been working here, but presumably it’s been more than just a few years, as his movements were all neatly measured, not the least bit rushed, and perhaps more than anything, looked completely second nature.

Cheers. And yes, without a doubt it is. Something I need to confirm sooner, rather than later.

Once again you have captured a wonderful window on a comfortable and inviting world.
There is so much to like quite apart from the subject.
The framing including the rail outside the window and the pulled aside noren on the left.
The focus, so sharp on the owners brow yet gentley softened on the far faces.
The exposure makes you really feel you are out in the dark and the place to be is the other side of the glass.
    One of your best.

Thank you very much. That was genuinely lovely to read. Definitely a shot I’m pleased with. One that was perfectly set up too. Just required a bit of patience to get the chef in the spot I wanted him.
