Tokyo train treat

With women-only carriages now commonplace in the Japanese capital, and ladies finally fighting back against the furtive fiddles of fellow fare payers, those intent on still touching people on the train have had to seek alternative avenues — namely carriage-themed fetish clubs.

Japanese groping

Establishments where paying ‘passengers’ can indiscriminately touch up other travellers until the time comes for them to get off at their desired destination. A journey which presumably varies in distance, especially if the emergency stop lever gets prematurely pulled.

Japanese party pants

Whereas Japan’s work-related end of year parties practically demand that participants overindulge, New Year’s Eve itself is, for many, a fairly sedate affair. Sitting in front of the TV to watch a singing contest and slurping on some soba being standard fare for many.

Yet for the salary man intent on not sobering up and soldiering on regardless, there are plenty of goodies to keep the fun as well as the firewater flowing, including this particular product that should help him party like he’s 19 minus 99 months.

Bottoms up,

Japanese super Santa

Santa’s ability to fly around the world in a single evening, deliver millions of presents and even squeeze his sizeable frame down several chimneys would seem like a fairly phenomenal feat — a superhuman one even.

But not necessarily in Japan, as the bearded and obese one would appear to have been unceremoniously superseded by the somewhat more svelte, Santa Man X.

A slimmed-down slightly sinister model much more suited to the modern world.

Maybe.

Japanese bonuses, beers and bodysuits

With many Japanese workers currently receiving their well-earned winter bonuses, and the excessiveness of year end parties practically upon us, many a Japanese salary man can now legitimately cut loose from the oppressive orderliness of the office with a brief bit of unbusiness-like bawdiness.

But that said, how many bottles of beer or how big a bonus it takes to don a bodysuit as daring as this one is difficult to determine to say the least.

Japanese air guitar aid

Perhaps due to Japan boasting the current world air guitar champion — for two years on the trot no less — this most peculiar of pastimes has arguably garnered a reasonable level of respectability, of sorts.

Well, at least practicing it has anyway, with this inflatable instrument allowing connoisseurs to confidently hone their craft.

Meaning that one day, they may well be able to match the tantalizing talents of air guitar god, Yosuke Ochi.

If not the tastelessness of his tops.
