Japanese bicycle delivery past and present

It’s still possible to see food delivered traditionally by bicycle in Tokyo, but this wonderfully quaint practice is rapidly being overtaken by newer, rather less precarious forms of bike-based transportation.

Great photograph capturing wonderful action and expressions.
I love the lean on the guy at the back – he really wants to catch up. That, along with the expression on the frnt guys face, makes me wonder of they had a wager on who will finish first.

Thanks. He does have a great expression, doesn’t he?

Yeah, he came round that corner fast. But the man in front wasn’t holding back either, so I definitely wouldn’t bet against him.

I’d be rather scared of distracting him in case he gets a wobble!
I really like the positioning of the shadow of the front wheel.

I know eh? Especially so the speed he was going.

Yeah, the shadows worked really well. Very happy how it came out.
