One Tokyo gyoza too many?

Maybe it was the beer, or possibly the bowl of ramen that went with them, but that last, sad looking solitary gyoza, was clearly one mouthful too many.

Really nice photo! It brings back a memory of when I was visiting a friend in Tokyo about 15 years ago and we went to Kamakura for the day. On the way back, he said he had found a great bar that served ramen (and more), so we stopped there. It looked kind of like this one. The ramen was excellent and so was the beer.

      Cheers!

Little places like that (and this) are definitely a huge plus of living in Tokyo, and Japan in general. The perfect way to end a good day out in Kamakura too.

Funny shot. His eyes sure were bigger than his stomach! 😉

Marvelous scene. I love the use of the mirror.
If overfilling is the culprit I know how he feels. One afternoon in Omotesando I “topped up” with a tray of eight sauce slathered takoyaki which, though delicious, had the knock-on effect that I had to bail mid-meal at the Shinjuku restaurant I’d booked us in the evening. Mrs cdilla was not happy.

Thanks. I like how the reflection shows that last, uneaten gyoza. Couldn’t have placed it better if I’d tried.

A lesson learned there, but at least you didn’t fall asleep as well. Or did you?

Reminiscent of the Mameshiba ads. and the solitary gyoza has just given him a particularly unsavoury piece of trivia.

Haha, that’s a good alternative version.
