Outdoor Tokyo drinks

The incessant heat and humidity make Tokyo’s increasingly long summers difficult to deal with. And on the countless days when it simply wears one down, there really don’t seem to be any benefits. Except one that is. The simple pleasure of sitting somewhere totally bereft of pretension and enjoying a wonderfully cold beverage.

Nice! Wish I had a place like that to have a couple beers. I do have pretty much the same weather lol.

Ah, I feel for you. Despite the heat, Tokyo thankfully has no shortage of places like this.

Do all the outdoor bars have tables made of beer crates?

Not all of them, but a good number do. Practical. Easy. And like you say, it does give them character.

Excellent, simply excellent in it’s simplicity!
I’ll be having a good time in any restaurants with a crate of half-litres of Sapporo beer!

Yes, just like Sapporo — very tough to beat!
