Your guy on the right is way more interested in pleasure!

He certainly seemed that way. Good on him too!

The guy on the right side of the photo can really picture the situation his colleague is describing, that’s for sure 🙂
Each time I sit next to a group of salarimen in a restaurant, the only subject I hear them talking about is office politics and how this dude is such an arse and how that dude doesn’t do his work, etc. Is this true in general?

Work does seem to be a common topic. That said, I’ve met more than a few who are out for a good laugh, as well as a bit of fun and banter with those around them.

In sure the older fellow is counting how many times their shacho has done or said something stupid. And the younger guy, being young, is too afraid to simply say that’s damn right. Our leader is dumb. Did I read too much into this photo? 🙂

Not at all. Whatever you want to read into it is fine. I couldn’t hear what they were talking about, so your interpretation is as valid as any.

It’s the lady who catches my eye. Doesn’t she look like she’s having fun!!

She really does, doesn’t she? I was intrigued by the bloke on the right, but capturing her happiness was a wonderfully lucky extra.

The background folks also made the picture more interesting to me. The menu tassels hanging against the back wall also gave this photo a bit more ‘life’.

I felt the same. The place definitely has character and a few interesting customers. Elements that really help the photo.

Perhaps he was telling some bad knock knock jokes…
