Sights from a search for a stunning old Tokyo Coca-Cola sign

The absolutely stunning old Coca-Coca sign below was what I set out to photograph. Whether the closed-down shop it’s attached to would still be standing was a complete unknown, but having worked out the location, it was simply a case of waiting for the right weather conditions and then hopefully getting the chance to try and capture its cross-cultural retro charm.

The other photos in this short series were the sights that caught my eye on a meandering walk before and after the day’s main attraction. All of which I found interesting, but nowhere near as appealing as that lovely old sign and decaying shop front.

The sign is so beautiful but the greenery and blue colors take it to the next level and beyond. I love it! 🙂

Thanks a lot. Yeah, there is so much to like about that place. Very glad I managed to find it.

The first two in particular are what you do best, Lee. Great work as always.

Thanks ever so much. Really happy with how those came out. The light and people added so much.

At last! I finally come to the first photo of yours that I recognized with a sudden joy – the 2nd one – “Iroha” outside Mizonokuchi … that view caught my eye too on many trips to a familiar place. Glad to see some sights from the SW suburbs long familiar to me.
