Tokyo bar characters

A bar with plenty of character, but even more in the way of characters.

Yes, every time you order something, he makes a little red mark.

Cold Sapporo is always good. My favourite by far, so always a treat when that’s what a bar stocks. And even better when it’s in the big bottles!

I favoured Sapporo over all other Japanese beers. It’s bottled under a co-op deal with Coopers here in Adelaide. Tastes great but not the same when the surrounds of Tokyo life are missing.

I can understand that. Bars such as the one above seem made for big bottles of Sapporo. A match made in heaven.

Quite a look eh? I get the impression that’s his standard work garb.

Oh what a great picture! Love the rhythm of it: looking left, looking right – cigarette in the back, to the pencil in the middle, to the cigarette in the foreground – all the lines in dark and light brown. Great – thank you!

Thank you very much. Very kind of you.

I had little space to work in, and was really quite pleased with the result, so glad to hear you enjoyed the result too.
