Tokyo rock and roll intoxication

The Motörhead poster seemed very apt, although something much quieter was likely called for when consciousness eventually returned.

Even after nearly 15 years here in this country it still surprises me that people in these situations wont lose their wallets. I can’t believe it’s just there next to him.

I know eh? God knows how long they’d be there for, but anyone could have popped in and taken it. But they didn’t. And that’s what generally happens, isn’t it? Passing out drunk isn’t to be applauded I guess, but people not being robbed when they do, most definitely is.

      It is.

Cheers. Yeah, no idea what time they passed out, or how long they’d been drinking, but it was clearly a big night!

Fascinating scene you have captured in this photograph.
40 years of Motorhead. I was/am a fan and saw them a couple of times in the seventies – the resulting tinitus is still with me, but happily Ace of Spades still cut’s through it and Lemmys vocals never were easy to decipher 🙂
Appropriate to see a publicity shot of the Libertines in the back, for their “Anthems For Doomed Youth” comeback album. I tried hard to see a framed Wilfred Owen to complete the reference but failed.
The wallet though… just amazing. Let’s hope the safeness of Japan is never eroded.

      Cheers.

Well spotted. I hadn’t noticed the Libertines lurking in the background. Fits in nicely. A Wilfred Owen picture, or better still a poem, would make it perfect, but I think that’s a big ask. Maybe a reason to drop by for a drink one time to double check though. You never know.

Yeah, Japan has it’s problems like every other country, but long may that element continue.

The contents of the wallet might just be in the till.

No way. Small world indeed! It was Saturday afternoon when I took this photo, so fair play to them if they were at it again the next day. Pretty sure I’d have still been in bed feeling sorry for myself…

Wouldn’t surprise me if it was Sunday. They look like they wouldn’t be all that averse to back-to-back sessions.

Among the things I’ve taken away from visits to Japan along with visits to your blog are: a) Japan is a nation of public sleepers; b) Japan is a nation of big drinkers; and c) a lot of Japanese collapse into unconsciousness in public spaces after drinking a lot!

I know eh? All those years of people walking in and out, not to mention the stuff that’s been spilt…
