      Cheers. Got lucky with the light and shadows with this one. But yeah, it’s not the jolliest of photos. Hopefully his life is easier that it perhaps looks, but I’m not at all sure it is…

      Yeah, not exactly a high quality beverage, is it? That said, it’s perhaps not so bad when compared to the cheap, super strong chu-hi that convenience stores now sell…

    The lighting on the guy is great, butI can’t get the image of a stylized fish, mouth agape, in the light patterns on the left. Not that that is bad.
    Funny how context matters. I have a very similar sake jar on my shelf here. Bought it from a supermarket in West Shinjuku last Easter. It is partly filled with dried sakura petals and looks very pretty.

      That’s a good point. Hadn’t seen it like that, but now it’s hard not to!

      I read the other day that convenience stores will start selling hot cups of sake starting this year. A chance perhaps for you to pick up another next time you are here.
