Traditional little Tokyo bar looks

With Tokyo hosting the Olympics next summer, the city’s rapid pace of change seems to be even more pronounced, and yet for all its transformations, some things, somehow, remain more or less the same.

The kind of Japanese bar I’d love to spend some time in — but am not sure if I’d be welcome…

Haha, I’m sure you would be. Just me who isn’t welcome!

I really can’t get enough of these pics. So Midnight Diner! 🙂

Glad to hear it as I always enjoy shutting them. And yeah, it really is.

You could not fit a group of rugby supporters in there. My Japanese interpreter friend told me that the main role when with the touring fan groups is to ensure a continuous supply of beer.

No, you most definitely couldn’t. Funnily enough I saw a sign outside a little bar over the weekend that read, ‘Sorry, we have no more beer.’

Either a genuine note to ensure there’s no disappointment, or a clever ploy to avoid big groups of rugby supporters!

Very cool but may be not so friendly! 😉

Nah, sure she’d be fine. Presumably just not fine with people taking photographs!
