Various scenes from varied Tokyo walks

Generally I post photos with a theme, or as a way to try and tell a story. However, quite a few images don’t really work that way, and this selection is along those lines. Photographs taken during recent walks that if nothing else help to highlight the sheer variety of sights and scenery one can find in a city the size of Tokyo.

So many great photos, thanks! The colors and variety of life in Tokyo is amazing. Each person has his/her own story to tell. I hope the owner of that bird brings it indoors on cold or wet days.

Thanks a lot and you are welcome as always. I totally agree about the variety and all those mostly untold stories. And yeah, me too. Hopefully it gets enough love and attention too.

Have you considered a book of portraits with a story/interview of the person? You have so many interesting portraits. Each person would have a story to tell about themselves!

Thank you. And yeah, those stories would be fascinating. A very good idea. The only such info I really have is with bar owners. A collection that would definitely be interesting.

Bar owners could be great. Enough to make a book? If not you could interview some of the aging restaurant owners you have photographed. Or other business owners.

I hope you will pursue it.

Hmm, possibly. Certainly if I included bar and restaurant shots too, and maybe some neighbourhood ones as well.

Ah, what a trove πŸ™‚ You spoil us again. Just look at the sock hair coordination of that guy! The family about to walk infront of that part opened garage is perfect – looks so desolate without them.

Thanks a lot. The hair and sock coordination is something else eh? Very happy I managed to get that.

I know that dog! Milky named after the caramels, that we met when you took me on a walk last year.

Ah yes, that’s right. Such a sweet dog, so it was good to finally get a decent photo.
