Art attack

Accused of breaking Aichi Prefecture’s rather long-winded ‘government ordinance aimed at providing youth with a wholesome upbringing’, two men in their early 20s have been arrested for tattooing underage girls.

Both Kiyoe Namikawa and Yusuke Ushijima have admitted to the allegations, which involve the latter tattooing a 16-year-old’s wrist and the former painstakingly etching a heart and cross above the breast of a 15-year-old junior high school student.

Taking a slightly different approach than Japan’s more traditional tattooists, the two budding artists created their masterpieces with a safety pin, a needle and a few dabs of ink. One of them attempting to explain his behaviour and at the same promote his talents by boasting, “She asked us to do it because it looked cool.”

However a rumour that the young men were all set to give the two lucky ladies cutting edge and as-cool-as-can-be anchors on their forearms has yet to be confirmed.

Physical graffiti

In the land of manga and traditional tattoos, this bit of street art is decidedly disappointing. Those responsible even omitting the obligatory pubic hairs — and perhaps more worryingly the gonads.

Thankfully the effort below is a different story altogether.

Post-traumatic stress

How individuals deal with stress can vary wildly, with newspapers and magazines continually adding to the available options with all manner of methods and management techniques. Yet whereas many people opt for a bit of sport or subduing the senses with alcohol, Yoshiaki Kobayashi’s rather unorthodox approach is to shove a load of ice cream into the nearest postbox.

The 42-year-old stressed out salary man was picked up by the police last Friday after ‘posting’ a large dollop of chocolate ice cream; however after similar incidents in the same area involving ice cream of an undisclosed flavour and liquid soap, the police are questioning Kobayashi further over his possible involvement.

But whilst the investigation is still ongoing, Kobayashi-san has already admitted to the allegations concerning Friday night’s shenanigans, telling the officers in charge, “I was frustrated because my job was not going well. I wanted to vent my anger.” An act that unfortunately for Kobayashi violated the Mail Law, and also resulted in some letters becoming, to quote the police, “dirtied”.

Maid to measure

For anyone looking to satisfy a clandestine cosplay compulsion, online retailer Angel Kitty is something of a one stop shop, its vast array of schoolgirl uniforms, race queen gear, and ubiquitous maid outfits amply covering most bases.

However for those after something just a little bit different, the site’s maid apparel and camera-on-the-end-of-a-detachable-tail combination might be right up your alley.

The USB webcam equipped appendage does bump up the outfit’s price somewhat, but considering its versatility, 22,575 yen (107 pound) isn’t too excessive. An Angel Kitty model in the picture below kindly proving that as well as using the unique item to chat with dear old mum online, it also has plenty of other, rather less parent-friendly options.

Sexy sumo

Regular readers of Tokyo Times who are more inclined towards viewing scantily clad men than women, may well complain of being continually short-changed on visits here. A charge that admittedly would be very difficult to argue against.

Yet that said, any underwear-sporting or flesh-baring young ladies that do appear on these pages, are in no way used for mere titillation. Rather, the coincidentally attractive and suggestively attired women just happen to be an integral part of events or news stories that due to their significance are impossible to ignore.

I mean, could the earth-shatteringly important release of another themed bra and panty set be left off these pages just because they include a slightly racy picture? Or when it comes to the burning media issues of the day, could omitting coverage of daytime TVs battle of the breasts be justifiable just because it contains a gratuitous image of some mammoth mammaries? Of course not.

Still, there’s no denying there remains an imbalance, so in attempt to redress the situation somewhat, here’s a picture of three beefy and bare-chested beauties.

But hold on a sec, there’s more here than meets the eye. Well, a little more anyway. Taken post-bout, the full image finds our three hunks relaxed and carefree, having rather alarmingly discarded their wrestling attire.

Needless to say, the picture is definitely not safe for work, but by clicking the image above a new and enlarged version will present itself. However whilst revealing a few minor details, it doesn’t give us any indication of what the three chaps were talking about. Or, judging by his hand movements, if the fella on the right was paying the slightest bit of attention.

*Special thanks (I think) to Louisa for the picture.
